ABOUT BRIAN

Brian Poniatowski is an art/movement/creative director and performer based in NYC. Originally from Poland. For most of his life, art in various forms has had a significant impact on shaping Brian as a young artist. From an early age, he began his dance journey, training in jazz, modern, theater and ballet. The discipline and big passion quickly proved his talent. After just one year of training, he began to achieve great success on the international stage. Later in his career (2012) Brian won the world famous TV show "So You Think You Can Dance 7th edition" in Poland. As a result of winning the show, he went to Los Angeles on a scholarship, where he trained under the wings of the best choreographers in the dance and music industry. 

His talent, curiosity about the world, openness to people has allowed Brian to work as a choreographer in Europe, Asia and the United States. His sensitivity to art, architecture, design, film, music and fashion has always characterized his work. Having been on stage for many years as a performer and choreographer, Brian's work has always been deeply connected to building and telling stories and conveying emotion. His aesthetic has delighted many audiences, both in the theater and on screen. In 2015, Brian moved from Hong Kong to NYC where he continues his adventure with movement, visual arts and creativity.

A man of many talents, he has a BA in Marketing and Advertising, is the founder of Broadway Beasts in Poland, a project that connects Polish dance community with the New York theater hub – Broadway. Also creating overseas opportunities for dancers in Europe. Brian additionally fulfills his passion by working between the United States and Europe as a creative mind on fashion sets, music video clips, and in the theater. Brian always admits that his greatest inspiration for creating work comes from his life stories and the world around us.
